Sensory Art Walk | The Animal Husband and Talbot Rice Residents
Friday 31 May, 2pm

Talbot Rice Gallery is delighted to invite you to experience a new way of exploring its current exhibitions. Join us on Friday 31 May for a Sensory Art Walk with Alena Ageeva. Sensory art walks are based on a multi-sensory approach to encountering art and embodied perception, allowing participants to find new personal connections with artworks.
This is a creative experimental journey. Unlike usual guided tours, the sensory art walk allows you to immerse in internal sensations. During the walk participants are invited to focus on the position of the body, sense of balance, tactile perception, light, and soundscape. You will play with association, somatic and dance improvisation practices that open up a new dimension of the exhibition space.
The Animal Husband and Talbot Rice Residents present different ways of perception, through sculpture, painting, video and installation. The sensory walk will shift the perspective from observing art to making one’s own discoveries through a creative dialogue with the works.
This event is open for everyone and suitable for participants with any level of movement experience. Please wear comfortable clothes and shoes that would allow you to move freely. The duration of the sensory art walk is 1 hour 30 minutes and will be delivered by Alena Ageeva.
