In this workshop, we welcome Maria Schiza, from Trading Zone 2025 for a creative writing session in the gallery. Maria uses her poetry to create connections between and across people.

After having some time to explore the exhibitions at Walker & Bromwich / Searching for a Change of Consciousness and Trading Zone 2025, participants will be supported through a series of writing exercises, gradually focusing on the work(s) of their choice. Participants will explore a non-academic, non-prescriptive way of accessing the artworks, centring, instead, affect and perspective-taking. The workshop is open to anyone: all exercises are beginner-friendly but will still be of interest to experienced practitioners.
