Our public programme features a range of experiences, including artist talks, panel discussions, curator-led tours, academic tours, performances, creative workshops, family-friendly activities, British Sign Language tours, sensory-friendly mornings and more. Alongside a diverse range of artistic practices, our exhibitions explore social and political themes, offering inspiring opportunities for reflection, creative engagement, and meaningful conversation.

The Children are now

Little Creative Morning

In collaboration with artist educator Fibi Cowley, we hosted two family friendly workshops that resulted in a collaborative mini film bringing together children’s voices, stories and creations.

In Monster Mask Making, children designed imaginative creatures using recycled cardboard mask templates and collage materials. They could add claws, hands or feet and perform in front of a green screen to record short clips.

During the World Building session, children created miniature shoebox worlds using collage, clay, fabric and found objects. These sets became the backdrops for the monster characters filmed earlier.

The final film travels through Monster World, Pizza World, Cat World, Hedgehog World, Water World, Football World and Forest World.

Online Curator's Tour

Our live online tour of the exhibition offered a unique behind-the-scenes look at the exhibition, exploring what it was like to collaborate with Child Human Rights Defenders and the challenges of bringing their stories to life. As our first tour of this kind, it created an opportunity for audiences to gain personal insights into the curatorial process and hear powerful stories directly from home.

Recognising that not everyone can visit in person due to physical, geographical, or financial barriers, this online experience reflects our commitment to making exhibitions more accessible, inclusive, and engaging for diverse audiences wherever they are in the world today.
