Ross Fleming's practice is one of a power play between fantasy & reality. A layering of historical narratives, found in art history, cinema, queer ecology, popular culture and the collective unconscious, they are reworked, appropriated and to be used at will. Fleming reconstructs these elements into contemporary art aesthetics. A mixture of medias are adopted, ranging from installation-sculpture, painting, costume and film.
